A Painting for President Trump: 33 Hours, Countless Prayers, and One Purpose

In the White House, the plastic was pulled off this magnificent painting and set on the easel the day before I presented it. The curators and handlers were the first to lay eyes on this piece… a painting of our President, praying, staring at a cross on top a beautiful mountain. This piece was created to reflect back to him the place he can always turn when he needs a word from God, a touch from Heaven, or wisdom from our Awesome Creator.

The handlers stepped back and took it in. Most of this painting was created while I played worship music, prayed for our President, and allowed the Holy Spirit to leave His mark on this work of art. The staff was continually blessed every time they saw it. Hearing their reactions, filled my heart. After working on this piece for two years, it was finally complete, and finally at its destination.

My assistant and I drove it across the country… 33 hours in two days… to deliver it safely to Washington, D.C. It was a long journey, and so worth it. The years leading up to that moment have been the hardest, by far the most difficult challenges I’ve ever experienced, and walked through. It was the refining fire we must all endure to reach the place the Lord calls us to. Every moment was worth it… to see the hand of God, not man, move on my behalf time and time again. He is so faithful!

And while the enemy will attempt to deter me, discourage me, distract me, and keep me from my calling, the Lord my God is the One I turn to, rely on, and seek. He has never let me down. Through it all, He saw me through… with tenderness and love, with a firm grip on my hand. He has been steady, guiding me every step of the way.

To Him I give all the glory. To Him I give all my praise. To Him belongs every ounce of honor. I give Him my whole heart, my whole mind, and my entire soul. Every gift I have comes from the Lord, and to Him, they shall return. Nothing in my life shall ever be counted as mine or separate from Him. This is my journey, and it belongs to Him.

Thank you for following along. Thank you for your constant prayers and your encouraging words when I needed them most. The body of Christ is made up of us all… and when we step into our callings, we come together to become the greatest force on earth.

If the lord is for us, who can be against us? Let’s keep our President in our prayers, he was certainly called for such a time as this.
