Behind the Brush
Vanessa Horabuena is a self-taught artist whose creative talent was discovered in the very midst of her deepest pain. The effects from childhood abuse had stifled and shut down her gifts, and eventually brought her to a counselor's office. As the shackles and chains of her past were released and she began to live in this new freedom, the desire to create and express returned. After the third session, Vanessa sat down to paint for the first time. In only 2 1/2 hours, she had finished her first portrait. Overnight, Vanessa Horabuena became a full time artist.
As Vanessa cultivated her gift, her prayer was that her paintings would be more than just art, but would be an act of worship, ushering others into a deep and intimate time with their God.
Vanessa is now based out of Phoenix, Arizona, traveling nationwide painting at Christian conferences, churches, and for non-profit organizations. As she shares her story of freedom, she helps others embrace all that God has put inside of them. Her art speaks powerfully to the hearts of men and women, encouraging them to live abundantly in all that God has called them to.
Vanessa is starting a ministry ranch outside of Phoenix, for women who have gone through childhood abuse. To learn more about her vision or to donate, please visit: https://gf.me/u/x36d4i
