This piece is one of my all time favorite paintings to create…ESPECIALLY during worship. There is something so powerful about this piece, it is derived from the cloth that is believed to have wrapped the body of Jesus after the crucifixion took place and His body was wrapped, and placed in the tomb. The blood that stained the cloth was bleed out of extreme trauma, and the only way this kind of image could be left was by a high intensity light from within, to shine forth and burn the image into the cloth.
There are no words for to express the power and presence of the Holy Spirit when I create this piece. It’s always an impactful experience and I feel so close to the heart of God when I do. Each piece comes out a little bit different. All special in their own way. All leaving me anticipating one day…painting Jesus in Heaven. I don’t want to be just any artist…I want the honor of being His artist. I hope this piece and the description inspires you in your life. Don’t settle for using your talents here on earth in an ordinary way. Use your gifts, talents and creativity to honor the Lord of Heaven and earth. Your Creator, your God & your King. That is a life well lived. A life lived for Him. 💛
