From the depths of our pain and loss and struggle…we can authentically, with all that we are, pour out our hearts before a loving God, and find a renewed strength within Him. This relationship fortifies our lives against the fiery arrows of the enemy. It creates in us, a shield around our hearts and invites the Lord’s very hand to be upon us as we press on in this journey of life. No matter what your circumstance is, I pray that this painting encourages you to surrender it all at His feet and in His presence. His love for you is so great and relentless. May your trust be found in Him, for while suffering comes upon even His elect chosen people, this life is fleeting and the promise of eternity is so prevalent. What we suffer here will be rewarded in the life to come. But how we endure it, makes all of the difference. I am a Breast Cancer 🎀 Survivor this Marks' my 13th year now, having dealt with pain and struggles through this time... I submitted the middle picture as well that was given to me by my eldest sister; Mary Rose one of my 8 siblings 41 years ago. I have been going through a challenge with a family member and I made a corner of my bedroom a place of prayer. This painting speaks to my heart, as I will always “praise Him in the storms”. Casting Crowns is my favorite worship music and this ties in beautifully. This hanging in the corner of my room gives me such peace, and assurance that Jesus can give us that, and so much more.

I’ve just been diagnosed with probable ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) which, to me, feels like a storm. Yet I want to keep “looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith…” and praising Him. There’s a scripture song from the Psalms that I learned years ago. It is a reminder to praise no matter what: “I will praise the Lord no matter what happens; I will constantly speak of His glories and grace. I will boast of all His kindness to me; let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together…and exalt His Name.” (Ps. 34:1-3 from the Living Bible) So this picture of “praising through the storm,” is a reminder to praise no matter what happens.

This print speaks volumes to me…no matter what, God’s grace is sufficient and He is more than enough to sustain us. I chose to hang this in our entryway to set the tone for our home. Guests can sit in the entryway chairs and allow this piece to speak to them, or they can enjoy the reflection in the mirror for a double portion of peace.
