5 Bible Verses & Paintings to Inspire Healing

5 Bible Verses & Paintings to Inspire Healing

Life is not always easy. Many, if not all of us, have faced painful circumstances and experienced the fear, anxiety, and hopelessness that comes with difficult seasons of life. But, there is beautiful news - we have a loving Savior, The Prince of Peace, who walks beside us through all of life’s trials.

Hebrews 13:5-6 tells us that God has said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

I believe God stands true in His promises. I have witnessed, first-hand, His overwhelming love and provision in my own life. His faithfulness has permeated through every season I’ve gone through. I came from a dysfunctional upbringing and suffered neglect and sexual abuse from distant relatives. The Lord has walked me through my lifetime of healing and I want to encourage you to lean on Him as you navigate difficult seasons and find healing in your own life.

Today, I’m sharing 5 verses and 5 paintings to inspire healing as you navigate challenging seasons.

5 Verses To Inspire Healing

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

"The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.” - Psalm 146:8

“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:5-7

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28

5 Paintings To Inspire Healing

Jesus Healer

Description: The moment she touched His hem…was the moment she touched His heart. She fought her way through the crowd to get to Him. His presence was fully with her and fully healed her. Her story and her struggle touched the heart of our Healer that day.

Close to His Heart

Description: Through years of abuse, the childhood memories flooded her mind. Shame was her greatest companion, as the pain of the past crippled her present, making her future seem hopeless. But, though she felt alone…she was not alone. There was One who pursued her with an everlasting love.

Eternal Reign

Description: He sets His gaze to heaven, His path leading to the Father. He left the grave behind, leaving the gates of Hell ravaged in submission. Our King, the Holy One of Heaven ascended on High to His righteous throne. Setting eternity’s hope and promise deep within the hearts of those who loved Him, the Son of God and the Son of Man went before us to prepare a place where we would be with Him for all eternity.

Yeshua

Description: “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers.” -Isaiah 65:24 Whatever it is in your life, whatever season you are in…the Lord already knows, He hears you, and goes before you.

The Empty Tomb

Description: Who needs a reminder today that the war has already been won? The battle may seem heavy today, but you are fighting a defeated enemy. Walk in His victory today. Thank you Jesus!

I am a Christian and learning each and every day. I have a grandson named Jesse who really needs prayer. He is a 15 yr old who has been cussing, disrespectful, stealing and lying to family and others. Satan is trying to get a crip on him. Please hold him up in prayer. You are very talented and I too was a used when I was a child. Praise God for you. Thank you

    Vanessa,

Thank you so much for sharing your story, you being transparent and so vulnerable has encouraged me in my walk with Jesus. I had been saved over thirty years ago. Leading up to and following a rather unpleasant divorce I was angry and God and walked away from my first love. This lead to the past eight years living my life in direct conflict with all I knew and believed deep in my heart.
The past few years have been filled with alcoholism, addictions things I never imagined I would be a part of.
God as always has been gracious with me, I have been able to maintain a career in healthcare in spite of myself. In Sept of 2023 the career I had made my God was temporarily placed on hold due to an injury sustained during an emergent procedure. I’ve been off awaiting approval for a couple of surgeries.
I have a son who is a Pastor, he suggested that God had allowed this as He has something better for me. It’s what I’ve clinged to the past few months. I have recommitted my life to Jesus Christ last month and have experienced the peace that passes all understanding once again.
I recently had the pleasure of being lead to your site, your testimony as well as your work have encouraged as well as inspired me as well as inspired.
Thank you for all you do, your boldness in proclaiming the redeeming power of the gospel.
May God continue to bless and keep you.
    Tom

Love is a Perfectly Blind Adventure
Our lives are filled with moments of uncertainty, times when we wonder anxiously about what lies ahead. In these moments, it's all too easy to try and seize control, driven by our impatience or a perceived need to manage everything. But this only leads us off the path God has set for us. The truth is that being spiritually blind – stepping out without faith in Him – can lead us down roads we were never meant to travel. Yet, when we trust in God, His plans for us often exceed our wildest dreams.

In your life, what does it mean to walk by faith? Are there areas where you feel called to step out of the boat and trust in God's guidance, even when the destination is not fully visible?
